Australian Wool Initiative Young Growers China Tour
Ian Cameron's account of the 2017 AWI young growers study tour along with 13 wool growers and 2 AWI representatives. The tour focused around meeting buyers and processing facilities near Shanghai including Sunshine Group, Tianyu Wool, Nanjing Wool Market and Xinao Knitwear Development Centre as well as the Nanshan Group in Longkou. 2016 – A Return to a Wet Winter!
We experienced a hot and very dry Autumn in the Riverina. All ewes were fed into lambing which is not ideal, but important to keep energy levels high. Since the rain started at the end of April, we have now had 200mls (8 inches) and The Yanko has been transformed with swamps full, water in low lying areas and trefoil and native grasses all coming away. We are set for a wonderful Spring.

Ram Sale to be held on Thursday 22 September, 2016
We welcome you to our Ram Sale. Inspections from 10.00 am and a light lunch will be available. Following the Sale there will be rams for private selection. We returned to holding an On Property Ram Sale in 2015 where we sold all 64 rams offered for auction, for a top price of $3,500 and average of $1,867.
